Claims and payments in one connected journey, from first notice of loss to settlement

Wilbur and Vitesse today announce their partnership, bringing together. Wilbur’s claims technology with Vitesse’s payments and treasury platform, so insurers, MGAs, TPAs, brokers and delegated authority businesses can manage claims and payments in the same way, wherever they operate. Claims, payment and financial data stay together from first notice of loss through to reporting.

As insurance organisations expand across markets, claims operations become increasingly complex. Insurers, MGAs and delegated authority businesses need to manage multiple products, currencies, capacity providers, suppliers, claims funds and regulatory requirements, while still delivering a simple and efficient experience for policyholders.

The partnership between Wilbur and Vitesse is designed to simplify these complexities.

Wilbur provides the claims technology layer, connecting insurers, MGAs, TPAs, brokers, loss adjusters, suppliers and policyholders across the claims lifecycle. Vitesse is the financial infrastructure for the insurance market, connecting the global insurance ecosystem, helping organisations manage and execute claims payments efficiently across multiple markets and currencies.

Together, Wilbur and Vitesse connect the claims and payments journey. Payments can be started from within Wilbur, and payment information and status flow back into the claim, giving claims and finance teams visibility across the end-to-end journey, reducing reconciliation and duplication between systems.

Supporting the UK and London Market

For the UK and London Market, the partnership is particularly relevant to delegated authority models.

MGAs and other delegated authority businesses often operate within defined Delegated Claims Authority (DCA) arrangements and need strong controls around authority limits, referrals, approvals, auditability and claims payments. Vitesse's experience supporting claims funds and payments for Lloyd's and delegated authority business makes it a natural fit for these requirements.

Connecting Wilbur's claims workflows with Vitesse's payment capabilities creates a more controlled journey from FNOL through assessment, approval and settlement. Because claims, financial, payment and operational information is captured in the same connected journey, customers can reduce the effort involved in preparing bordereaux and MI reports, while improving the consistency, traceability and timeliness of information provided to carriers and other stakeholders.

This creates a connected operating model across:

·       Claims management and FNOL

·       Delegated Claims Authority (DCA) controls and referrals

·       Claims funds and payment workflows

·       Automated claims BDX for Lloyd's and capacity providers

·       MI reporting and operational oversight

·       Supplier and loss adjuster management

·       Audit trails and financial visibility

Faster Onboarding and Global Scalability

The partnership also makes implementation easier. Wilbur and Vitesse have established integration patterns, so joint customers can onboard faster instead of designing and building claims payment integrations on their own.

This matters most for international insurers. A common claims and payments architecture can support operations across multiple territories while still allowing for local products, currencies, regulatory requirements and operating models.

Arun Kumar Shankar, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Wilbur, said:

"Claims and payments should be part of one connected journey. Our strategy at Wilbur is to provide a common claims technology layer that connects insurers, MGAs, brokers, policyholders, suppliers and the broader insurance ecosystem.
Our partnership with Vitesse is an important part of that strategy. By connecting Wilbur's claims capabilities with Vitesse's insurance payment infrastructure, we can give customers a much smoother journey from FNOL through to settlement.
For the London Market, this goes beyond simply connecting a claims system to a payment platform. We see an opportunity to connect DCA controls, claims payments, automated BDX and MI reporting into the same operating model, giving MGAs and their capacity providers much greater visibility and control.
The global value is equally important. As our customers enter new markets, we want them to be able to take a proven claims and payments architecture with them rather than rebuilding integrations market by market.
Ultimately, it is about faster onboarding, stronger operational control and making the claims experience simpler for everyone involved."

Richard Reggel, Chief Commercial Officer, Europe, Vitesse, said:

"Payments sit at the centre of the claims experience, and they work best when they are connected to the rest of the claims journey.
Our partnership with Wilbur brings together claims and payments capabilities that complement each other. For insurers, MGAs and delegated authority businesses in the London Market, that means more automation, clearer visibility and less of the operational complexity that comes from running claims and payments on separate systems.
Bringing claims information, payments and reporting together also improves transparency across the delegated claims lifecycle, which matters to MGAs and the capacity providers behind them.
Both companies areexpanding internationally, and I see a clear opportunity to build thispartnership further and support customers across the UK and other globalmarkets."

Wilbur's international footprint spans Australia, New Zealand, the United States, South Africa and the UK, which makes partnerships like this one increasingly important.

The vision is a connected insurance ecosystem where claims, delegated authority, payments,BDX, MI reporting and the supply chain work together.
